The Love Guru
June 27th, 2008BarCampBankDallas
June 22nd, 2008Went to my first BarCamp this weekend in Dallas with Josh, well actually it was a BarCampBank. It was really exciting as I have been to many different banking-technology related conferences and I always end up falling asleep because they are so dry and depressing. This event was referred to as the “un-conference” everything was decided on once we arrived at there and I didn’t feel alone their were people with the same problems that we have at our bank.
I would suggest attending one in your area.
If your interested in more information on the events from BarCampBankDallas google barcampbankdallas

Back From California…
April 22nd, 2008Preparing for California…
April 15th, 2008Steaks @ Pine Creek Lodge
April 3rd, 2008Just got back from Pine Creek Lodge in Nacogdoches for the best steaks by far in this area. I’m not real sure what they do differently to their steaks but its great. If your not in the mood for steaks they have a full menu of items that are equally as excellent, they are also very reasonable priced and its off in the middle of the woods where cell service doesn’t reach
I can’t say it enough this place is excellent!

21 - The Movie…
April 2nd, 2008Went this weekend and watched 21(bring down the house) Its about several MIT students and a professor that learn a system of card counting and take several casinos in Las Vegas for lots of money, was a excellent movie! Part of it was filmed at the red rock casino which is where I stayed when I was in Las Vegas for Tech Mecca I thought that was kind of cool.

Thinking About Getting Some Certifications…
March 19th, 2008I’ve been looking at taking some certification test from several different vendors(Cisco, Apple, and Foundry). The first one I will pursue will be the Cisco Certified Network Assosiate (CCNA), I love playing with Cisco gear their is just so much that it can do, so this a must for me. After that I would like to go after a Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT), My reasoning for this one is simple for the fact that no one in my service area that holds one of these… So maybe it will increase my income
And this last one is a new company to me Foundry Networks. I was recently introduced to their line of switches by Todd a sales rep with Foundry. I have been nothing but impressed with their equipment. With that being said I can see myself getting the Foundry Networks Certified Network Professional (FNCNP).These are just a few of the many Certs that I would love to get but never the less this will get me started.

My Mac doesn’t meet the Microsoft system requirements!
March 17th, 2008So today I was surfing the web looking for a free template for a purchase order and I came across the Microsoft template page (which has a plethora of useful office templates) and I found one that was perfect for my use and got this wonderful error message…
I couldn’t help but get a kick out of this while reading it on my MacPro ![]()
